There is almost NOTHING more satisfying to me than watching a self-sure shitbird refuse to acknowledge they’ve done anything wrong and then immediately lose everything.

I was wondering if this was the eventual outcome of this story. People who take shortcuts and lie rarely do it once.

Ah, that explains a lot. When I was growing up in the 80s, out of the big chains, Pizza Hut was always my favorite. And then sometime after I left the roost in 1992, I noticed it seemed to be different and not as good. So that really explains what happened. I miss those Pizza Hut restaurants.

One of my students was trying to write a story that took place in 1940, where kids were trying to look something up.

He left out a step, for sure.  I use almost the same recipe, but once everything is in, hit the tomatoes with a stick blender.

Noisey does a series where newer artists listen to classic albums (supposedly) for the first time and I’m absolutely convinced that whoever writes it is throwing all the shade, as often the album the artist is being played is a) a very well known classic album and b) almost always the obvious root for that artists

If she’s planning to cast Aidan Turner in any role, I’m in. I would watch him read the phone book, preferably shirtless (him, not the phone book).  And I just realized that that analogy is no longer relevant since phone books are no longer published, so I guess I’d watch him read my car’s owners manual instead.

What’s funny is that a coworker of mine (D) was several episodes behind and listened to another coworker’s (G) advice to skip Kiksuya since “it was a boring episode that didn’t have anything to do with the main story” so D could catch up faster.
