That map of fatalities by state is absolutely worthless.  It’s simply total number of traffic fatalities (Texas has more traffic deaths than Wyoming?  Well no shit.).  A per-capita death map would be far more appropriate to see where the problem spots are.

You only live once, David.  If you can afford it and you really want it, just do it!

Shouldn’t this be part of that infrastructure bill that just passed?  Stuff like this is going to require the federal government to take the lead.  The City of Jackson is corrupt and broke.  The State of Mississippi is corrupt and broke.  The citizens suffer.

Wow, where do you live?  I’ve never heard of an HOA that extreme.  I thought mine was bad.

We are literally still decades away from full autonomy.

Unlike in a lot of other countries, the Land Cruiser competed directly with it’s Lexus variant and if you’re going to spend $90k on a vehicle, people would rather have the Lexus badge.

It’s kind of like the Tesla door handles...just why? Soft-close doors on a car are a solution in search of a problem. I just don’t get it.

I get a Shooter McGavin vibe from that guy.

It’s so odd how you have a site like Jalopnik in the portfolio but be so against fossil fuels. I know all the G/O sites make Bernie Sanders look like Reagan, but one article will talk about how awesome some Hellcat is and the next one talking about how evil gasoline is.

A running Toyota pickup under $3k....in this market? Easiest “nice price” you’ll see all year.

You wouldn’t be a self-indulgent wiener sir, you’d be a connoisseur.

I....I can get a brand new Audi RS7 for around this price. The driving experiences are simply....not comparable, without even considering all of the actual, tangible differences. These prices are absolutely insane.

I know it’s basically the same, but the front-end looks better here than on the Tundra.  It’s not pretty by any stretch of the imagination, but I don’t hate it.

malaise-era American cars.

David, I don’t like playing favorites, but you’re my favorite on this site.  Always entertaining.

I’m far from a law enforcement bootlicker, but resources are a big factor for cold cases or newer cases where the leads have simply dried up. I really don’t think (in all cases) it’s that the cops don’t give a shit, it’s that other things start to take priority.

I’m not sure what you mean about FDR and Churchill. Both are exceptionally popular historical figures and revered by pretty much everyone. Their apathy toward what was happening to the Jews isn’t even on the radar outside of academia.

I’m curious why there’s only an outcry when Tesla ventures into a particular region of the same country who is committing these atrocities.  Whether it’s Xinjiang, Beijing, or Shanghai, it’s still the exact same people committing these atrocities, is it not?

Love me some Skoda.  I’d snap that up in a heartbeat if it were stateside.

Or you can use a road that has no speed restriction :).
