I always figured every serious chess player had a buttplug in just to feel alive while sitting there for days on end.

2 funny things
Bungie’s biggest problem (aside from apparently not giving a shit about their employees) is that Destiny is almost impossible to jump into if you’re new or been away for a while.
Some people just love the taste of boot leather and polish, and will say or do anything in the distant hopes that Daddy CEO will let them partake one day.
That might have at least made this list funny if he left it out completely.
I literally don’t understand why people enjoy The Social Network. It’s barely even a story, let alone a compelling or well told one.
Interesting, considering the author of the book also wrote the screenplay and worked very closely with Fincher thoughout. Personally, I thought it was a brilliant adaptation.
FYI to everyone commenting about why Fight Club was placed where it was - it’s for engagement and it’s working
“Fox didn’t care what happened in Alien 3 as long as the film came out. The production was so rife with studio meddling...”
He misunderstood Fight Club completely. It doesn’t glorify toxic masculinity, it decries it and considers it a side effect of late stage capitalism. And yes, that’s an oversimplification.
I don’t disagree with the criticisms about “The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo”, but the issues come mainly already in the novel.
I can live with Zodiac being #1 as I quite enjoy the movie, but there is no way Mank, Panic Room and Gone Girl are better movies than Fight Club or Seven.
Fight Club at 9 is completely baffling. Like let’s be real, Fight Club is not a worse movie than Panic Room. Insane
Dancing with the Stars has been on for more than fifteen years?
Just a bizarre business decision. The show wasn’t going to attract new Trump loyalist viewers, and Bergeron is spot-on that people watch a show like this to just turn their brains off and be entertained. I don’t care what side of the aisle the person comes from, it’s going to be polarizing.
I say exactly the same thing about AirBnb. At least in terms of using it as a hotel room substitute. It makes a LOT more sense if you are looking to rent a whole house for a vacation rental - but even then, I would prefer to work with a local agent or directly with the owners. But cars are a LOT riskier than houses.…
It’s almost wild to say it but if you want to play... let’s call it a “US Army FPS type game” on Xbox or PS5, there are very few options. That sounds sort of crazy considering how ubiquitous games like Call of Duty and Battlefield are in gaming, but if you really step back and think about it, that’s basically all…
It’s not the old console games I’m worried about - look at the always online games. Once they’re dropped they’re gone. Not hard to access, or requiring an emulator - just straight up no longer extant. You can’t play Battleborn or Marvel Heroes anymore, not even on private servers.
Seconded, AAA games have long been in the mindset of bigger games, bigger budgets, bigger payout...but it’s been killing the diversity of the market...most of these massive publishers will be lucky to put out 4 games in a year now instead of EA and Activision during the PS2 / Gamecube / Xbox era where both were…
South Park has been exhausting for well over a decade, ever since they leaned into the “having opinions about things is dumb and for losers” schtick.
