Keep the left turn arrow, but during off-peak hours (i.e. not rush hour) instead of it going red, it should flash yellow to allow cars to go through when there is no oncoming traffic. Or always keep it red when sight lines are garbage.

Another thing based on something I’ve seen here.
It always amazes me how many studio leadership/directional teams seem to think “We can do X just like Y but without the same resources as Y.” It’s like... it took X amount of resources because that’s the amount of resources it takes. Yes, some teams can do better in some areas and some learnings can shave time; and…
Considering the AI misspelled the name of the very game they were apologizing for, I'd say the context does matter some. That should be something that would get caught if they have even the slightest bit of human oversight to their application of AI.

Eliminating the left arrow? So one car can turn per light cycle at a busy intersection? Ever been ninth in line in the left turning lane? That’s a recipe for road rage.
I will defend the left turn arrow. No it’s not warranted at every single intersection, but it is really necessary in certain spots where you would probably need to sit through 4 or 5 light cycles before you could even hope to get a gap.
Did nobody ever tell you it’s legal to “fire” your health care team? If you don’t like someone who’s giving you care, you can demand other personnel. They work for you. In your situation I would have demanded to see the Charge Nurse, told her/him that your care giver was not respecting your wishes, and demanded…
Doing Cloud was a terrible idea in the first place because it’s not even supposed to look like a human person, it’s supposed to look like an anime character. Run a face filter over that and you end up with a re-run of that Photorealistic Homer Simpson nightmare.
The AI one has some resemblance, and looks like a human being. The original looks like a bad potato carving of a LEGO man.
Those aren’t “upscaled”, they’re changed/generated. They’re new faces. (and they’re almost uniformly terrible. I mean, holy crap, those three samples in the middle of the article are awful.)
I mean youtube has a huge audience of people who ruin things because they’re morons. Look at all those wankers “upscaling” film and animation to 60FPS because they have terminal gamer brain and treat a high frame rate as some kind of inherent moral good.
“Look I improved this movie by adding 400% more smear look how smo…
I mean to be fair the game doesn't exactly look like him unless you already knew
What do you think “off topic” means?
How are your NFTs doing?
I think it’s worse the more stylised the original was. So Cole looks better because photorealism was kinda what they were going for in LA Noire (and they did face capture to try and mimic human expressions too) where as Cloud looks.... wrong.
Not going to lie, I came into the post thinking “it’s not that bad”, because the thumbnail looked like an actual improvement was made from the original. Having seen some of the rest... ouch... that’s pretty bad.
The problem with him is both cyan and cayenne are words in English. If they wanted to keep the original pronunciation but not associate him with peppers (which don’t fit his personality at all), they should have localized it as Kyan.
I’m still annoyed about Yuffie being pronounced Yoofee. If it wasn’t meant to rhyme with Buffy, they should have spelled it Yufi.
Stupid people are stupid. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to do anything about that.
