I hear what you’re saying. And yes, of course it’s a generalization. But just because you haven’t experienced something doesn’t mean (a) it doesn’t exist and (b) it’s not a problem.
Straight men are the worst. I’m done.
Internet porn has ruined men, as far as I’m concerned. It’s so deeply normalized degrading, violent sex strictly for the male gaze. Of course it all existed before, but early and frequent exposure has deeply damaged mens’ psyches and lessened their ability to see women as consensual partners deserving of their own…
I think she’s a good egg with a good head on her shoulders. She’s smart, successful and everything I’ve heard from people in the biz has been positive. People accuse her of being calculating and image-obsessed all the time, but you have to be when you’re (a) in the entertainment business and (b) a women.
Agreed. It’s terrifying to think I could be entirely on my own, with no partner to help or support me. But it’s also entirely possible that a partner could make my finances worse than they would be alone. So financial security doesn’t seem like a valid reason for me at this point (or ever, really.)
I’m 46 now and I simply can’t online date anymore. It makes me miserable. While I’m not closed to the idea of romance, I decided I’m not actively pursuing it anymore. 2016's ramping up of virulent misogyny made the decision easier for me, but it’s been building up for awhile. I’m not totally happy on my own, but I…
She was really a pioneer in the post 80s natural, all women are beautiful and do what works for you look. Super high-quality products, great skin-tone matching and very long-lasting. But it was definitely a brand aimed towards older (30+) women, so I’m not surprised you haven’t heard of her. She was a modern…
I love love love their lippies. I think the eyeshadows aren’t pigmented enough, but that’s their “natural look” thing. I’ll have to check out the mascara. I’m still looking for my HG since CK Color One discontinued everything. If you have a suggestion? I want layerable for big lashes, no clumping, flaking or smudging.…
I look at stuff that triggers me as a way to figure out what’s going on underneath. I really value self-awareness but it’s my responsibility to deal with my feelings, because no one else is going to. Unfortunately for all of us, it’s a learned skill that’s rarely taught.
Give yourself time. Today is the first day I woke up without a sense of utter despair. I’m still gutted, though. Eventually you’ll move forward and decide what you want/need to do.
Lipsyl is frigging amazing. It’s cheap and at Walgreens. I perpetually have chapped sore lips year round. This is the only one that reliably works for me. Eos is the worst and it took my lips a month to heal from that mess.
That slow blink is everything.
I do. It’s a good show and a nice way to start Sunday.
If you want to stay, then stay. If being here makes you unhappy and you’re not getting what you need, then go.
Poor girl. Anxiety so bad you have to leave the stage is no joke. I hope she feels better.
I've had the exact opposite experience. As soon as I started wearing a ring, people treated me with more respect.
Your baby is amazing. Fat babies are the best babies. Chubbles and rolls!

Potlucks are great if everyone who’s invited likes to cook and/or bake and has the time, there are no restrictions, unless it’s the same for everyone, everything is covered (protein, veg, sides & dessert) and it’s not too big. More than 10 and it’s too many moving pieces.
