I spent a fair bit of time in social work and law enforcement case file (which is not my line of work but we were deep in it because the front line staff were “special”) drama so my views are colored by what can go badly from things being “easy”.

It is, for many couples, easier to have biological children than to adopt. Now whether it’s easy or not shouldn’t really matter if what you have to offer a child is enough.

What matters to me is that the child is in a good, loving home where all her/his needs are met. Unfortunately many, many people who choose to reproduce have mostly their own interests in mind, not the potential child.

If she didn’t come across as so put upon, like she’s Sisyphus, I’d have a lot more sympathy for her.
