this car is a mess. just pull the plug (lol) and well forget it ever existed. but seriously tho I just read Motor trends review and they said it was a worse Model S. the doors suck and the non folding rear seats suck big time.

Probably because the battery pack necessary to do that would weigh over 1000 pounds, making it impractical to design for when 95% of the time it isn’t being used. More realistically, you could add a small engine up front and use it to supplement travel for longer trips. Call the car a Volt or something.

Regarding the individual to individual thing, individuals are only allowed to sell a certain number a year (5 in Michigan) before they’re considered a dealer and have to register as one and pay fees, insurance, etc.
Because in most states, there are laws on the books requiring automakers to have facilities able to perform warranty repair and maintenance on the vehicles they sell. These are old consumer protection laws, from a time when this was a big issue.
I think your Millennial readers should also ask “will I feel snug in a warm nest of appreciation and approbation here with my four minutes of experience and really out-there ideas?”
