A person hospitalized for COVID-19 could be in the ICU for weeks. Then they could be in a rehab facility for weeks. That is hugely expensive.

I’m in Michigan, specifically Metro Detroit.  I am still 100% convinced that Trump will win Michigan.  There is a large, mostly silent, contingent of affluent white folks who “don’t want their kids to grow up in a world with less rights”.  They are all voting Trump.

Yeah - the fact that the settlement winds up getting paid by the taxpayers of Phoenix (or whereever) is frustrating. This doesn’t come out of the police budget, even though it should. And that’s WHEN someone actually manages to win the case, which is never a given (even when it ought to be).

It should come out of the police retirement fund.

Funny how they didn’t pass a law like this when the Tea Party was out protesting. I guess they were the “good” protestors.

Keep in mind that as several million Americans re unemployed, facing evictions, and trying to eke out a survival on unemployment, the President is screwing with the USPS, the USPS is saying lacks the funds to make it to years end, and other issues - the Senate just announced its taking two weeks vacation.

My two friends in Texas live in blue districts. I don't think that Cruz or Cornyn would do much about this though.

I have to commend Jonathan Swan for how well he handled this. I watched it last night; I could not stomach all of it, but I did get through most of it.

My 3 y/o stopped fighting the mask after the first few times. She was 2 then lol. 

My 5 year old wears his mask when told to do so without complaint. This is a nation of adult-babies.

In SoCal, we had a similar situation (mask wearers and non mask wearers fighting in a Ralph’s) and the worker pepper sprayed them.

We’re a nation of five-year olds. We deserve Covid.

It’s pretty petrifying to be stuck not knowing, but since her son was found, I think we know what happened. Genuinely cannot believe how much this cast has suffered. It’d be heartbreaking enough if she weren’t such a talent, but it’s worth acknowledging that she was excellent.
