Let me guess: You love Cam Newton, though?

Having seen this in 1979, I can honestly say that Ripley's survival was no great surprise, nor of particular significance as to why the film resonated with me then and for almost forty years since.

I've already drafted my proposal for the regional hospital to reinstate whipping people entering and leaving, why wait?

MRSA IS A CURSE FROM THE DEVIL I TELLS YA!

If a guy told me he wanted to do it with me in my vulva, I'd probably say yes, if only for the specificity.

"Instead of a population problem, one could argue that Universe 25 had a fair distribution problem."

Anyone who applies that word in this context either A. has never hard Gaga's music, B. doesn't know what the word means, or C. both.

I grew up as a JW and many of my friends were molested. The elders handled it exactly the way they're being accused of.

"You will find him to be a fine individual, kind, loving, and appreciates the peace and refreshment of the Christian Brotherhood," the letter read. "He is a very interesting individual who has taken the lead with some young ones in the congregation and helped them from vearying (sic) off course."

My favorite along these lines has always been the contention that "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary" is about Mary, Queen of Scots.

It remains a point of debate among scholars. (Folklorists get into rather heated arguments over this kind of stuff.) I've read some interesting treatments of the subject, co-authored by literary and medical historians, where I'm inclined to agree with the plague interpretations. But, hey, choose your own

Definitely! It's about the plague, and "all fall down" is basically "dropping dead"

Ring around the Rosie definitely should apply here

For most of the movies in the series, I think you need to have seen the film (e.g. Alien, Bonnie and Clyde); for a few, a familiarity with the film's plot will suffice (e.g. Benjamin Button). I don't think that makes them "too clever," per se.

Glad to see organic get debunked.
