replace the words giant box with ball and you've described why I find soccer boring

For Julia to survive the favorites on her tribe will need to suddenly act a lot more dumb then they have or Julia will have to suddenly become some combination of sun tzu and cicero. While I'd bet money on neither happening I'd bet my life on the latter not occurring.

Abercrombie is by far and away the best fantasy author out there in terms of writing. I think other authors might have better stories to tell (not that Abercrombies aren't great), but he really knows how to use the written language.

Women should know their place

I think Gannicus is going to step up to lead as an equal with spartacus (or in place of him) and the last shot were going to see of him is going to be a tearjerker of him nailed to a cross on the appian way. I really hope I'm wrong and your right, I am way too emotionally invested in that character to see him die that

Up until this episode I was getting a lingering feeling that Spartacus was gonna die before the end and that the others were going to have to go to the final battle without him. This episode made me almost positive that is the case.

Yeah I still have some reservations about Shelby being Drew Thompson. Mostly because after last season (when they kept dropping chekov gun type hints that quarles sleeve gun would jam and instead they literally disarmed him) I never fully trust that the writers of justified aren't just fucking with my expectations.

Did anyone else notice the Go Daddy commercial guy in this ep. I swear he's everywhere. I was just watching My Name is Earl

Yeah the show seems to be drifting
toward That 70's Show's take
on a laugh track, i.e. punctuate every fucking line with a laugh,
ooh, or some other crowd reaction. I am a little ashamed to say I
used to like that show way back when, but all it took was one glass
shattering moment to realize how excessively that show used

I agree. Unfortunately he seems to be pulling a George Martin with his 3rd book (albeit with a little bit more of a valid reason as Martin seemed to just have gotten distracted). Although if Martin doesn't pick up his pace since Dance HBO is going to run into the same problem in a few years.

As much as I love Abercrombie's books (I think The Heroes may be the best fantasy book ever written) I'm actually pretty sure they wouldn't translate to tv very well. They just don't seem like they'd really fit into an episodic format very well.  What Netflix really should do though is hop on the Thrones bandwagon,
