I started out in radio in 1999, and quit in 2006. Unless you’re SUPREMELY lucky, you’ll never make any money, you’ll move all over the US (radio in other countries may have different experiences), you’ll never get holidays off, and you’ll constantly be at risk of losing your job because of ratings. DON’T DO IT.

Can we vote against? Because I have an American Standard that had that thing on the box that said “can flush a bucket of golf balls”, and let me just say that “a bucket of golf balls” != “what a toilet is supposed to flush”. My plunger gets more use than I ever thought it would.

Honestly I was tired of Lottie. I never found her all that interesting. Glad Hermine finally won Star Baker though.

Hermine got robbed. Laura was good this week, but I think Hermine edged her out.

I think what killed Tanya more than anything was the attitude she gave Gail during that judges’ table. When she said that thing about not projecting onto her (which was a perfectly valid statement) I said to my wife “she’s done.”

I have to believe someone made that joke and they cut it for time in the edit booth.

I dunno, there’s a place near my office in Atlanta called “Gyro & Teriyaki” that’s a combination of Greek and Chinese, and I’ve been enjoying gyros with fried rice on the side for 14 years now.

“It was weird that it was brought up that Chris picked the team but did not seize the opportunity to appoint himself EC, as on the other side, Carrie picked the team and did also not choose to be EC and no one mentioned it.”

I do exactly that.

I think the assertion that Voq is “gone” is borne up by L’Rell’s scream, which could be construed as a Klingon death scream.

I lived in Orlando at the time. They muted the “shit”.

It appears the promo code has expired. Sad times.

Tilted Kilt’s food is not as good as Hooters.

Is it just me, or every time AV Club says something nice about Discovery, IO9 has something negative to say, and vice versa?

Pretty sure it was “go back to the shuttle and hope we don’t get blown to bits on the way out.”

The last time I booked on Spirit, the site wasn’t clear that the checked bag allowance is only 40 pounds, not the standard 50. Thankfully I was at 39.8, but it would have been nice to know. I’ve read somewhere that a few other budget airlines have the same policy.

...and where my daughter’s friend’s black father was pulled over multiple times for Driving an Expensive SUV While Black in Cobb County After Dark.

I appreciate that AV Club is more fair-minded toward this show than IO9 is. And this was not the best episode of The Orville, but it was a solid effort with some good material and some tired material. I’m not complaining. At least it’s not “Code of Honor”.

That being said I’m not sure it will save it, Seth Macfarlane’s name and presence is anathema for a large segment.

Didn’t they also have Robert Woods at one point?
