Welcome to just how geeky the A.V. Club can be.

In American football, you have the Fullback, Halfback, Quarterback and the Kwisatz Haderach.

That is how I did it when I first read Dune at 13. There are no real spoilers, but it gives you an idea of the world you are about to enter (the limited technology, the way spice is interwoven into everything, the feudalistic politics and court intrigue).   And be ready to thumb back if you aren’t sure about

That is why everything was on such a grand scale.  Big hats.

When I read it at 13, I actually read the glossaries first.  That way I knew the world I was getting into.  Not sure that is the best way but it worked for me.

And to bring it full circle, Jews playing Spaniards:

Saw it in Imax 3D.  It was glorious.

Oregon became a state in 1859. It was always exclusionary. Still, black people came out and usually went into the Washington Territory.

I sort of assume that like The Doctor, Rick had other companions before Morty.  Being able to hold that over Morty would be useful at some point, similar to making Summer his favorite.

  • Hey, it’s the return of the dipshit bug aliens! Boy do those guys die easy, huh.

Like you never watched Friends.

And royalty. Is it possible for them not to have an incestuous
relationship?

In fairness, they are royalty, so this is pretty normal.

How easily you have forgotten the fisting scene at the end of It’s a Wonderful Life between Stewart and Barrymore.

I have no problems with the slow start. The problem with the previous format was that the first one or two people you never really got a feel for. Here, even the first person off got to show off five or six looks, a couple of different talents, and we got a better feel for their interpersonal skills. Especially with

The original Letterman Late Night, until 85 or 86 was just Monday through Thursday. They used to have a music video show on Friday nights in 12:30 slot.

Is Wayne Brady going to have to choke a bitch?

It was rated NC-17 until Snyder agreed to cut the 45 minute sex scene between Batman and Superman.

I always felt that while the ethical concerns were real, it was always more Jane looking for an excuse to blow things up with Tom. If not this, something else.
