I was joking. We get it up in Washington/Oregon fairly regularly . . . every 9-10 months, I would say.

Colbert gives a ton to charity on his own, quietly. He’s not like Trump who tries to profit off of charity and doesn’t ever give anything himself. This was just a short, fun fundraiser which did pretty well. Why be bitter?

He’s like the uber-Theater Geek. He really, really likes what he is doing, and is incredibly good at it. He should be easy to hate, but you just want to hug him and watch him perform.

This season had a clear arc, with Rick triumphant over all at the beginning, and being pushed to the outside, accepting failure, at the end. It was a very well thought out season.

If that is your attitude, you really don’t want to know what makes McDonald’s Special Sauce so special.

Improvements that need to be made to the A.V. Club and Kinja to improve page views, bring back readers, and revive the community:

The greatest problem with the new design is how quickly everything rolls off the front page. If I was one of the editors, I would have people working around the clock to make the front page more like it used to be, with the box of Newswire items, and many more articles pinned to the top, (including all the reviews)
