Its good. 10 times better than Crystal Skull. Maybe better than Temple of Doom. Not quite as good as the Last Crusade (imo) and nowhere near Raiders, but still thats a decent ratio.
Lots of places don’t have real editors that do that anymore. Editors now mostly package the content (vetting, making headlines etc) but don’t even look at the body copy.

One thing this article didn’t mention is Thrawn’s motivation to “do evil.” He’s protecting his people by getting high in the empire’s ranks and steering any and all expansionism away from the chiss home planet. he makes a deal with palp pretty much right?
This was a pretty good movie that didn’t deserve the hate. Right? It’s certainly not as good as Ark and Crusade, and not quite as good as Temple of Doom, but its seriously ten times better than Crystal Skull.
I think the hype primarily derives from the book being really good (as are all LaValle books) and the cast maybe?
