*shudders*

This thing looks cool, but if you don’t own one and you own an Instant Pot or other electric pressure cooker, you can easily cook a dozen eggs in it without buying an additional gadget. For me, 5 minutes (mine is a knockoff and just has high pressure) will cook the eggs runny-yolk and 8 minutes will make them

I have a $130 Samsonite suitcase and it’s sturdy as shit. $700 is about style. Unrelated: it’s a safe bet to buy a black suitcase these days, everybody buys colorful ones to stand out in the baggage claim so now black ones stick out more in my experience.

HEYOOOOOOooo

100% heard that in my head in the Marchman voice.

I made a wager so either I’d take home 20 bucks or Alabama would lose. Win/Win

I get it, but they switch names constantly. Splitting it out of Google Wallet into a separate service (Android Pay) and rebranding to Google Pay is just tedious. I have zero confidence they’re not just going to rename it to something entirely different in 12 months.

YEAH! That was definitely the worst part when I built my first (only) PC.

Google/Android fanboy here: PICK A GODDAMN NAME FOR YOUR SERVICES AND STICK WITH THEM.

Cory Gardner is a POS and there’s no way he lives up to those words. If I’m wrong, great, but either way, fuck that particular guy.

Right. Plus, if you were able to get that housework done when it is not possible to be reasonably productive at work, your work while you were in the office would probably go easier. I hope more and more employers learn how human brains work.

He was kind of a dick in Robocop

First glance at your comment: NO! Second glance: yeah, kinda, yup, you’re right. We’re just starting to live comfortably in our urban area and I like the city and the open-mindedness and its a start contrast to my upbringing.

Traveling “home” for the holidays means going back to the sticks and being reminded that my

There is a distinct flavor to Champagne; I am simply saying it comes from the terroir (including growing season) that would be very hard to reproduce anywhere else. In the same vein, a Chablis tastes dramatically different than a California Chardonnay. I understand and respect designated origins.

I’m merely curious if

I am in agreement about the terroir making Champagne grapes unique, but is there something super special about Champagne production processing that makes it unique? There are cheaper sparkling wines that don’t use disgorgement and counterfill bottles under pressure, but there are also a ton of US, Italian, etc.

I assumed they were just doing it because US winemakers aren’t beholden to French/EU labeling constraints. Even so, if I see “Champagne” on a bottle of sparkling wine it’s usually prefaced, e.g. “California Champagne”.

Yep. I think the fact that wine derives a ton of quality from terroir makes wine region designation relatively important. I like the tradition of good bourbon from Kentucky, but there’s really nothing special about creating bourbon in Kentucky (holding distillation and barrel techniques the same) given the grains

Sure, I’m probably clumsy with my wording. That’s cool!

Hah, it’s the mass and the cutting edge that’ll get yah. But yeah, hopefully harder to accidentally axe someone than shoot them.

I understand that the job description requires an immense amount of physical and mental toughness. I love football, but perhaps it’s not a great idea to knowingly expose your future leading officers to a much heightened risk of brain damage and deleterious behavior? Again, I LOVE football and I understand the
