Position on the nearby list does NOT work. It’s not even a sure thing that all of the Pokemon on the in-game “Nearby” list even exist anymore. The only thing the “Nearby” list can semi-reliably track is if a Pokemon MIGHT be within three football fields away in any direction... Good luck combing an entire 5 square…

Pokevision is somewhat cheating, sure. However, the in-game radar is broken and legitimately always has been even before the 3-step glitch. Before that was the glitch where Pokemon would get stuck on your radar long after you were out of range or after they had despawned.
