FCA builds the perfect new vehicle for DT. Instead of buying one, DT borrows one as a press vehicle to pick up a (free) old crapcan Jeep.

Glad you got out of that one.  Dated an emotional manipulator myself.  It aged me terribly.

    Neutral:  Toyota

How much of a narcissist do you have to be to not only comment about an entirely different motorsport during this event, but to make this off-topic comment for the sole purpose of self-glorification?

The monster truck in question is named “The Brodozer.”

I swear, we’re in Schrodinger’s economy.  Simultaneously “the best in decades” as well as “thousands laid off.”

This really hit me in the soul.  I have a 1985 Toyota 4Runner with 117k original miles attempting to die in my garage.  It took me months to muster up the time and gumption to replace the window regulator last year, the first and possibly least important in a list of jobs to make this thing driveable again.  We had

Ah the ole Chinese Firedrill Bamboozle.

Is it a hot take to compare this to an e92 M3?

My thoughts?  I prefer the fatty salty butter on a slice of warm sourdough, with toast and jam/preserves coming in at a close 2nd place.

1st Gear:  TF do you have against bread and butter?

    It’s about fetuses.  Not children.

It might be bold of me to say, but I think RWD performance cars could be their Forte.

I never thought about it but this happens way too often in my e46 ZHP that I got last year.  I tend to drive very courteously, using signals exhaustively, and still get way more road rage than I did in my Grand Cherokee.

I’ll second what others have said because I didn’t believe it myself: the starting price for a new 718 appears to be actually LOWER when adjusted for inflation than the starting price of a 944 in 1989.  I think we all just make relatively less money so a Boxster/Cayman is still out of reach for most.

How’s the steering feel?  Does the chassis feel tight and nimble, you know, like a BMW should?

I didn’t know the thing about MB Vans.  I once did a tour of the Charleston port and they carted a group us from the SC port office to a port terminal in...you guessed it...a black sprinter.  Approximately 60 seconds of conversation was spent on “oh you know these are built right here!”  I genuinely don’t think

Tardy to the party here, but there are two schools of NC bbq.  Being that ZG is from the Raleigh area, he’s most likely of the Eastern style which is vinegar heavy.  There is also Lexington style which is totally different.

You’re not alone on the thinning hair but speckle egg scalp.  Fortunately I’m vain enough to take finasteride which has slowed the whole process dramatically.

Surrendered? Probably not. Left at home mostly, yes. I own a car that was meant for driving enjoyment. But day to day all I do is commute, and all of its best attributes get washed out. I would leave it for long trips to twisty mountain roads and the like. I recycle like a madman, and my historically non-recycling
