My attachment to these cars, new Minis in general, is largely sentimental as my pops bought an S brand new in 2002.  It’s basically a tiny FWD BMW of the same era.  Absolute blast to drive, not ruinously expensive to run.

    no, u

    User name checks out.

Tom, have you helped clients book Euro delivery on BMW/Volvo/etc?  This is something I am highly interested in but I feel certain you must pay sticker price, or near as makes no difference, to explore that option.

That’s a well executed build though.

I think there needs to be a small nuance added here that springing for 4WD/AWD should always be considered on a vehicle by vehicle basis. On an Atlas? I think you are spot on here, you probably won’t recoup the expense. On something like a 4Runner? You do not want to try and sell a 2wd 4Runner in the used market.

So. Ford Flexed (hehe) quite a bit of legal muscle to enforce this moratorium on resale of these cars. However, they did zilch when a frightening number of dealers had the nads to ask more than fifty thousand American freedom tickets for a Focus RS?

I recall when Harley Davidson demolished/dismantled one of their old brick buildings in WI, they sold the bricks online. I am sure the market for folks wanting to buy Packard plant bricks is decidedly small, and no Harley style tax could be applied, but there has to be an enthusiast community for Packards that would

I’m ashamed of myself for how much I like the ST.

Press F to pay respects to the Borrego.

Conversely, perhaps someone like myself, who really has nothing against minivans, needs AWD/4WD once in a while. AFAIK there is only one minivan on the market with AWD, and that’s the Sienna. We head up to the NC mountains at least one week out of the year and have gotten our car stuck a couple of times trying to get

    Issa Sam Elliot style ‘stache.

I know what you’re trying to get at here, but what I heard was “cheap Raptors will be for sale on govplanet soon.”  Of course they will probably be well worn.

You.  Take your star.  Take it and show yourself out.

Did anyone else get to the end of the Punisher series

I call dibs on the J10 in the event you find a spouse or have to finally be committed.

Agree with Yowen, I am sure it depends on which state, and as well who owns the bit of land on which the superchargers are placed.  If it’s privately owned land, and the Tesla owner gets ahold of the proper party, I am sure it would be easy to have said parking offender towed away.  Seems like a lot of headache for

As much as I might agree personally, I’m not convinced. I think hybrids will continue to hold their market share and full electrics will gain. My wife’s car is going to be due for replacement in 3-5 years, and we would likely consider something like a Highlander hybrid, which gets (somehow) 35% better city mileage

    *Dealer Markup Intensifies*

Keeping it somewhat realistic, I would take my rusty ‘85 Blue on Blue 4Runner from coastal SC up to Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. The tiny SUV with its 100 thundering horse 22re and 5 speed gearbox would probably be fatiguing, but worth the memories.  But 4x4ing some awesome trails would be on the table.
