This one has been fun. My dad bought it from a small garage in my hometown. The owner is from Africa and a genuine Toyota 4x4 enthusiast. It’s a 1985, so last year of the solid front axle. The interior is in great shape, all of the bezels are in tact, which is unicorn like on these.

What? No. I refuse to believe this. You're the happy go lucky truck guy. When I think Collins I think of a GIF in which you pantomime jerked it with a rattle can of paint.

    All. The. Things.

Makes sense, a bigger motor has to work less hard to move the same load.

Getting into an electric car before the next surge in fuel prices would be the wise thing to do.

Had someone tell the exact same thing the other day about the 3.6.

Exactly. Somewhere the plan gets diluted to save cash, ultimately resulting in a sub par product, and a general reputation for unreliability.

Credit where it’s due, they’ve made more attractive cars with the 200, even though it’s pretty much a turd. The 300 has always been one of my favorites in Srt8 garb.

Got anything to share? I'm a bit of a Mopar guy, and a nihilist.

I really want to make a joke about FCA reliability, but you seem genuinely passionate about the work you did, so I'll refrain, and blame it on bean counters.

They have to comply with standards of their year of manufacture, presumably 2017. Using any modern power plant should make that easy. Besides, there will be fewer than 1,000 of them, or so it seems.

I’m given to understand that the newer ones use ZF 8 Speeds (in half ton form), and the 3/4 and one ton use a heavier duty box anyway. So I think they have improved. But it’s still technically a Chrysler auto, so take that with a grain of salt.

I actually look forward to this...a little. When I visit family (about 200 miles, one way) I get so bored. I love to drive, but a straight narrow highway at 65mph gets old fast.

Good point. I say lead with strength, rename the company Jeep Ram Automobiles ‘Murica LLC*.

1st gear: just think of what a powerhouse FCA could be if they made reliable cars.

Soooooo who is going to add the John Williams score and lightsabers? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I would totally buy one of these. If it can be had for 35K, perhaps in standard garb without all the tech, it's a steal to me.

I live in coastal SC, the nearest large city is about 2 hours away. In my book, “large city” is defined as any city with a hospital you would trust with serious medical procedures.

Didn't they just do a redesign in 2012? How does this compare?

Idk maybe. It only happened in motion. It was an 08 GSXR 600.
