Ah. I downloaded this app, played around for about 10 minutes, but couldn’t figure out what you were supposed to do with it. Now I understand.

Nothing about anything you just said makes me feel any differently.

i really don’t get why people are being pessimistic on ffxv.

Yeah. Now that you mention it, maybe it's better this way.

You’re complaining that square enix chose to expand their own universe and story, because it places an undue burden on whatever OCD you have.

Sorry.

It is a personal problem, as I said in my original post.

If you don’t understand the difference between a sequel that stands on its own and an “installment,” then we may as well stop right here. You’re on a reading level I can’t stoop low enough to communicate with.

Your comment makes absolutely no sense. I’m not a beggar, and therefore I can be a chooser. The world is full of great video games. You might say a wealth of great video games. Therefore, wealthy as I am in terms of video games I have to choose from, I am free to choose to skip this one, which is attempting to waste

Yeah. Maybe I'm just old, but I prefer to just buy a game and play that game. I don't need a millions pieces of peripheral media to "enhance" the experience. It just winds up being distracting noise.

If you think reading a Wiki is in any way a rewarding experience, then we probably don't like the same kinds of entertainment anyway.

Which is why I'm skipping this game. Being forced to jump across 3 different mediums to get the whole story and all the abilities is "doing it wrong" for me, so I'm just not going to do it.

That’s not really the point I’m making, though. My point is that I should be able to get the full game experience by playing the game. I shouldn’t have to jump across 3 different mediums to experience the whole story, or get all the abilities/items. The thought of doing so is the opposite of effective marketing for

1) I don’t like buying games in installments either. And even if I did, at least they’re games. I don’t have to jump across three different media formats just to fully enjoy my video game.

Pretty simple, really. Because the game actors weren’t up to snuff for film audiences and the film voice actors were too expensive to hire for all the dialogue in the game.

All this parallel media is actually making me less interested in FFXV. Getting a game and immersing myself in the game world is something I look forward to. Knowing I have to play two demos, watch an anime, and then see an entire feature-length movie to get all the backstory and whatnot just makes the whole thing seem

I'll always star a Gene Wolfe reference.

Unless something happens to the President the VP is more or less a PR rep for the administration. Warren is much more effective where she's at right now.

Don’t remember the specific game, but that sounds like some early DRM.

I like to think there’s all kinds of shit in that fanny pack. Bandages, epi-pen, portable defibrillator, emergency poncho, MRE rations, road flares....
