The Typhoon looks pretty rough, but the main thing I noticed was that it appears to have all it’s plastic cladding in tact. If the frame isn’t badly rusted, it’s worth the price. (If the frame is rusted to hell, then it’s likely a parts truck now).

I legitimately want that in every car I drive.

Saab’s night panel is something I would love to see in every car.

government mandated TPMS, but didn’t require that all automakers display tire pressure at each wheel?”

GM’s fullsize SUVs (Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade) have an available refrigerator / freezer in the console.

I agree.

The US is overly concerned with trapping someone’s arm/finger by a window that goes up without someone there to monitor it. I have a Tesla and I can “vent all windows” remotely at any time, but I can’t put them back up. Sucks.
Whats crazy is that to install “automatic reversal” sensors would only cost like $24 per car

I would argue that that is actually the “hottest”.

Maybe not cool but SO simple and smart. I had an ‘80s Oldsmobile that chimed if the turn signal was left on too long. Every car should have that.

The onboard vacuum-cleaner a number of mini-vans come with these days seems like a great idea that should never go away. (I don’t have a mini-van or kids, just seems like a great idea)

It’s been an add on for a few brands (BMW and VAG products) but Infiniti EX35 had an option for a built in coat hanger on the back of the driver’s seat. Such a clever idea to keep your suit jacket or blazer wrinkle free

The Night Panel (or Black Panel) that SAAB introduced in the NG900.

So the government mandated TPMS, but didn’t require that all automakers display tire pressure at each wheel?

I absolutely LOVED my XUV! Hauled trees in the back with the roof open, mulch, kids, you name it. Was a dependable family hauler while giving me some of the utility of a pickup without the pain of a bed. Not to mention it had some high end options that I wouldn’t expect from GM that weren’t offered on my current cars.

Saab Night Panel. Pressing a button turns off all cabin lighting except the speedometer between 0 and 100 MPH. As someone who hates bright screens and gauges at night, I wish this was standard

Heads-up displays: an expensive option on GM products, loved by the owners who have them, unknown to anyone else

You said “coolest”, not “realistic” or “practical”.

My old Datsun has a HVAC setting called “Bi Level” which allowed heat to the floor and cool air to the face. I may be a minority, but I love that feature.

Heads up displays. My parents had a 1998 Pontiac GTP with an orange overlay heads up display, and it was legitimately the handiest thing imaginable.

That Typhoon, those are not that plentiful and deserve all the love in the world.
