Does the Fibonacci sequence work in base 8 number systems, or base 12 for that matter? We can’t just assume that all aliens have 2 arms and 10 digits. What if they have three tentacles with 3 digits on each or 3 digits on two tentacles and 4 on the third, etc...

Siemion says that an advanced ETI, if they were fairly close to us, say within 40-50 light-years, might actually know quite a lot about us. They may have already taken it upon themselves to decipher parts of our early radio and television transmissions.
