As someone who knows next to nothing about anything outside of federal regulatory stuff....(Yes, I'm a hell of a cocktail date *ZZZzzzzzzz8)
Driving on the highway [does not equal emblem here] driving the EPA highway cycle. If they were out on Route 53 from Romeo I'll wager they were driving 70-80MPH - which is way faster than the EPA cycle and would net a lower MPG.
I wondered who would shore up the brain trust at NASA. At least we didn't loose 'em to Russia.

Ironic that just before making this announcement GM, in a press release, bragged that the transaction price for the new Cadillac was higher than BMW and Lexus, at $47,000.
