Aren't Nintendo games the Wii U's main asset? That's pretty much what everyone buys it for, and dropping the gamepad would lower the price and thus entice more people to pick up on what they really want a Nintendo console for.

Well, when they have juggernauts like Call of Duty, Skylanders, and of course Blizzard, they really don't need to diversify that much. They're pretty much just three or four franchises that rule the industry now.
