Nice price, no matter how you slice it.
Nice price, no matter how you slice it.
At the end of the day, it’s a 30 year old car, and is going to have 30 year old problems. Over asking by 10K, I don’t care how ‘clean’ it is, or how low the miles are. No dice.
As a recently returned to snow and ice land - I grew up 5 hours north of here too, so I’ve seen some snow - after 20 years in the warm, sunny places. This is good info to have. Thanks!
Nice Price. Good luck finding anything cool from that era that will turn heads like a Jag XKE for that price. Not even a DeTomaso Pantara. Will it need a mechanic and have impossible to find parts? Hell yeah! Should you care? No. Can you lend me 60k?
It’s a fun Italian cousin to a Mini (Identical cousins perhaps?) 4 on the floor and a lot of cool upside- including being the talk of your Cars and Coffee... Nice Price all day. Could it explode into a rust fireball? Yes. Should you gamble less than 10k on it? Absolutely.
I might be mistaken, but I think I’ve seen this car in the wild, and, its pretty rough. Funny, but no dice.
Does this need to be a video?
ROW could be the Interstate, in many cases. IMHO
HSR is perfect for regional routes- or further. Boston to Detroit is about the same distance as Paris to Berlin. Boston to DC is half as far. If they can make it work, so could we. ‘Murica and all that. Besides, the ROW easily could be the already laid out Interstate Highway System- run it right up the middle.
Well kept, row your own, turbo fun? Seems a smidge high, but in today’s market, prob a good enough deal- especially with the roof rack and snowies added in. NP, with a little room for negotiation.
No AC = ND. If its such an easy fix... why didn’t it get done? Begs to ask what else wasn’t done.
This car is looking great- but I just am too old to think it’s worth more than 10-12K. Wish it was mine, though! - ND.
The USS Constitution (AKA Old Ironsides) is a modern(ish) Ship of Theseus.
In 2012 I drove the road to Vernazza, Italy- Cinque Terre- in a rented manual Fiat 500. The guide book said it could be ‘challenging to drive there’ but so is anywhere in Italy, with it’s poor signage and mad drivers. Well, I wasn’t expecting a winding, zig zag of a road with 1000 foot cliffs and no guard rails, one…
Not to beat a dead horse, but running the dedicated lines up the existing interstate highway corridors should be a no-brainer.
$4K for what amounts to a Euro-spec Opal wagon from the early 00s? Sounds like a Jalopnik dream. NP.
What about certificate programs through universities? Like Cornell online, for example.
My wiper fluid spray stopped working somewhere outside of Colorado this spring on a cross country road trip. I really should get that going again.
I agree, from personal experience. Got a great deal on my gently used car, 0 down and a good interest rate, but after the extended warranty, and everything else, it ended up in the end near the price of a new one. Lesson learned.
seriously, an Karman E-hia would be awesome.
