What would that do? Awd just changes how fast you get going (and really that doesn’t even matter as much as the tire does), not how you turn, or stop, or slide.

Am I the only one that hasn’t forgotten the last gen optima was the Kia that broke the Kia mold? I remember seeing that car for the first time in person at a super shady gas station, in Guntersville Alabama, in profile and thinking, “holy crap that’s a good looking whatever it is” until I noticed the Kia badge. That

You’re totally right. Understeer/oversteer is a matter of preference too. I believe Randy Pobst has made several comments about how he generally likes cars that have more understeer since he can corner out at faster speeds. I know a couple nationally competitive club racing drivers that drive the exact same spec

I totally get your point and I’m on board, but an antisway bar reduces grip across an axle and isn’t the right approach to tuning a high power rwd car like this. Honestly, a bit of understeer is not a bad thing since you can get on the power sooner, but I’m willing to bet the alignment on the C8 was mandated by

I think it looks pretty good, but I honestly think the black lip and sills really seal the deal. I haven't seen a photo of the car yet in this rx8 blue color, and I must say, I'm a pretty big fan of it!

You can’t have others in better condition gain value without junking some of them. Pull the trans and engine and see if it’s actually worth keeping; you really can’t know without digging deep. If it’s all good, set it aside and let it sit until you find a zj that’s in perfect condition sans manual and go that route.

I’ve got an mk7 gti and one of my favorite things about it is how close the screen is and that it has a matte finish. No glare, ever, and it’s super easy to brace my palm against a corner to be able to consistently press things. It irritates me when touch screens don’t have areas to brace because nothing is more

I'm in the Kristen camp all day long!! An e30 as a track toy gives you so much and gives most modern cars a run for their money! Add to that, that NASA has an e30 spec series you can legitimately race in, and you have a platform that you can grow on and have plenty of local support and knowledge!

When we were shopping for a 3 row baby hauler/tank recently we looked at everything, and Infiniti was initially on the list. They were quickly crossed off for the cvt transmission and ugly looks. I'd argue for most people the transmission won't matter as much as the looks, but seriously, how does anyone make cars so

Don’t forget the people.... I mean... Moving trees!

I totally agree. Power to weight is really much more critical and a gtr weighs 3868 to my 3040 i believe. With fuel and whatnot my total wet weight is 3166, while a gtr is about 4030. They do make significantly more power, so in reality they should still outrun me all else being equal... But the again, so should the

For a gti that's just a higher flow cat and a tune. "stage 2" as it's often colloquially referred.

Being fast for 1 lap, on a carefully chosen cool day, on a track that emphasizes huge power down a massive straight is very different from going to mid-size tracks across the country...

Maybe, I've heard they're easy to push to 90% but eeking out that last 10 is not only difficult but takes cahones to turn off all the nannies. Still though, advanced run groups should have fast drivers that know how to handle the car, I'd hope.

Advanced run groups should be "advanced" drivers...

Every time I’ve run into these cars on the track I pass them like they’re standing still in my lightly modified golf gti (tuned to 330chp, 370ctq, springs, alignment, brake pads, 200tw tires, fluids).

A big red switch on the dash might be just as fun, but after you get pulled over after making too much noise in a tunnel, you can’t claim “oh its Bluetooth, someone must have hacked it with their phone”...

I almost bought an frs, but the torque at 3k rpm had me hating myself, so I bought a gti. Now I regularly pass brz and frs on track in a tuned gti pushing 330hp and 370tq. If they made the brz in 240hp, I'd convert to it immediately! My 370z was amazing to drive, and far more fun than the frs just due to power. The

Unpopular opinion:

Actually I used to live in the southeast... Florida, Alabama, and Georgia specifically. They were humid and awful places, I agree, but the human body still adapts. I’d walk into classrooms and offices and about a third of people were always wearing jackets or had blankets. One woman in an office I worked at had a
