Yeah, like Azula with her fight with Zuko.

From a power perspective blood bending is more effective. But it's more difficult and can only happen once a month (except for Amon and Family). Metal bending is far more ubiquitous and much easier to do. I can easily say metal benders are more than 100x blood benders in population. I leave you to deduce which is more

I don't think it was. It looks like a small town that was close by, very convenient for their tests.

You just blew my mind dude.

Also I really do not understand Kuvira's motivations. Apart from her skill and the close ties she has with the main characters she is the weakest part of the story. If we're supposed to believe that she was once a good guy and that she has noble intentions, when did they get perverted into conquering Republic City and

This right here, this had me squeeling like a little kid at Christmas.

Yeah, no. Korra does a much worse job at the Deus Ex. Bending gone? Shed a tear and it's all back. Raava removed? Enter some weird tree, become a giant kaiju and receive help from an astral projection of a child. Only in season 3 and now 4 have we seen actual consequences for the actions Korra has taken, and even then

I think there's a genuine issue with neutral jing in this case though. Kuvira doesn't want to occupy the tree. She wants to take all of it. Toph being neutral will essentially mean that she sits by while they destroy what is essentially a very powerful spirit. I don't think she or the waterbenders that live there

That's what she said.

Yeah, I think Toph may have been overexaggerating when she said she could see everything. That is just a little tooo much for me, and I hope the writers don't make it so that that was the case. The things is a bloody tree. It's not made of earth. People with spiritual connections might be able to use it to connect to

It's sad that more people don't get this.

That makes sense. I just fear it would be poorly handled. That and the fact that there really is no justification for it. Season 2 was finished, a little too tightly in my opinion. Dredging it up again for two seconds in this season seems pointless. We already have a major conflict point in this season: dictatorship

Bolin is good, but he's not a god. One or two skilled earthbenders would take him down.

I think they wanted viewers to make that connection, so that when some Vaatu type shit begins to go down we won't be too surprised. I for one don't want that to happen though. I had enough Dark Avatar nonsense in Season 2.

See this right here is the problem with extremists. They make it so that the only way to deal with them is to be just as extreme, or to be so much more powerful than them that they are essentially harmless. Su knows no amount of talking is going to sway Kuvira, and Kuvira is going to take Zaofu whatever the cost. I

Supergirl represent! Escher girls would be proud.

Supergirl representing. Escher girls would be proud.

Haha. Indeed, both would be best.

Yeah but that doesn't mean that they'll be involved in kicking some metalbender butt. We never saw Gyatso battle anyone. We just saw a brief image that showed he took down a crapton of firebenders. (Which BTW is pretty awesome when you consider the firebenders had the comet on their side. Dude must have been a god.)

I still feel like the oldest among them should be no more than 21. This makes their immaturity all the more irritating, though to be fair they've all been fairly level-headed this season.
