But Mexico is not the North end of South America, it's the South end of North America.

I'm not trying to prove anything to anybody, but I am trying to prove that you're full of racist ignorant bullshit.

So because the United States has done some fucked up shit in other countries, which no sane person disagrees with you on, we should have an open door policy for people who are from those countries? That would basically include people from every other country in the entire world, because we've done a lot of fucked up

I'm not doing your homework for you.

No- it's not hateful all to think we should all immigrate in the same way. Ask a french person what their immigration story is. I guarantee it doesn't involve the danger and violence the majority of hispanic people have to face to arrive in this country.

Provide statistics to prove your point. The anecdotal evidence about your English boyfriend is charming, but that doesn't quite cut it.

How are the rules racist? You throw that word around quite liberally, but I welcome an explanation on exactly how the rules are racist.

When the day comes that simply saying "the law should apply to everyone" is seen as a "disgusting ideology," we really have reached an idiocracy.

I'm not happy that her family was deported. It's the law, though, and the law isn't happy or sad, it's just the law.

I'm not sure that we disagree.

I don't a solution because i'm not a fucking legislator. I don't pretend to know how solve any issue but it's as clear as day that 14 year old girls and kids who are even younger should never have to face the world alone

It's hateful that I think immigration laws should apply to everyone who wants to come to this country? Is that really hateful, or does that opinion just hurt your feelings?

Interesting information, and I thank you for that, but this in no way conflicts with anything I've written.

EDIT: I see you edited 90% of what you had written, after I responded. Smart, unlike your original post.

So what is your solution? Open borders?

And that's a big issue that also needs to be addressed, but this article is about a woman whose family came from Colombia. If you have proof that the majority of South American illegal immigrants in the United States came in with visas, please post it.

You're free to break the rules, but don't bitch when someone else tries to enforce them. That's what this article and 90% of the commenters are doing.

Of course there are. But in the case of illegal immigrants from South America, most of them come through our border with Mexico. Feel free to prove me wrong.

I could be wrong, and please provide evidence if I am, but I don't think the majority of illegal immigrants from Central and South America are coming in with visas.

1. In comparison to the hoops that LEGAL immigrants from the rest of the world have to jump through to get here, yes, I think "allowed" is the proper word. I do know illegal immigrants who have come from other parts of the world (the Philippines and China, specifically), but they're not brave enough to openly admit
