I should make clear, I don't think it's a BAD show, per se, I just… I guess I just don't get as much mileage out of a lot of the stuff others here clearly do. Like, at least 2/3rds of each week's "Olivia has victim X's brain and acts weird" gags just fall flat for me. But occasionally, I do see flashes of parts I

Among the stuff that's on right now? Not much. In general, most of the usual suspects though. Friday Night Lights, Terriers, Veep. I try to rewatch Cowboy Bebop once a year.

Heh, like I said, I feel like I'm watching an entirely different show. But I'm glad ya'll enjoy it.

Bless this show.

I've watched every episode of this show thus far, and Lord help me, I just feel like I'm watching a totally different show than everyone else. Like, I can watch this, but I swear I just read the praise and think to myself "what am I missing?"

Grossly late here, but I have to co-sign on the unexpected emotionality of this episode, although that's probably in part because my own black father is currently fighting Myeloma. But yeah, that day when your parents own mortality suddenly becomes a real thing is pretty…. it's a hell of a realization.

I mean, racism is bad, but talking about it is THE WORST.

I mean… okay? I know the explosion of internet porn has made it difficult for Playboy and the like (I read a Penthouse a while ago, and it was basically Maxim with nudity)… but isn't this like ESPN announcing it will be analysis-only with no live sports?

This remains one of my 5 favorite parodies ever.

I can rest with absolute assurance that the kind of people who accuse others (almost always minorities) of "race-baiting" do not think this qualifies as race-baiting.

At least he got Brother Outsider (which is great).

Just about any point in Harriet Tubman's life after she escaped from slavery. I'm still not sure why there hasn't been a biopic of her yet. She is, undoubtedly, an absolute American hero.

Yeah, I was only briefly aware of the Sonic cartoons. I became aware of them again due to Sonic's incredibly… let's say "dedicated" fanbase.

Oh wow, I actually met Ethan Young at a NYC comic event about a year or
two ago, and he was incredibly awesome to me, plus, I really like Tails.

It was fine. I'm unwilling to begin to formulate a judgement of how he's doing as a host for another 6-8 months unless he is absolutely abject, and from what I saw, he's not.

I enjoyed the first season, but I didn't find her character particularly sympathetic in the slightest. Which is what I thought they were aiming for. The characters are compelling, which is the most important part.

My 60-something year old mother is an enormous Big Freedia fan, I assume mostly because they're from New Orleans, because I absolutely cannot (and will not) attempt to imagine her dancing to Bounce.

Mmm, I really must do so. There's basically no good excuse for anyone living in NY to not have crossed the border at least once in their life, and I'm less than 5 hours away.

That is the most adorable terrible idea I've seen in a while.

Goddammit Stephanie Beatriz is ABSURDLY adorable.
