Good luck with that man! I'm actually trying to keep a "journal" of what I'm doing on dA myself. My high-minded hope is that, if I can do this, I can prove to everybody else who has ever thought "I can't draw" that they can learn to do it too.

I do, I genuinely do feel like there's been progress. It's slow and it's grinding, and of course it's not the warp-speed I wish it was, but like I said, it's supposed to be a journey rather than a race.

That last part was the biggest change/challenge for me. I've cut a HUGE amount of time out of my previous video game/TV time to focus on this. I'm not perfect, not by a longshot, I haven't turned into some monk, but doing that made a huge difference. I have a job and a hourlong commute, so I had to realize pretty

Learning to Draw Thread

Exactly. I can deal with some ads, if there's at least some goddamn variety in there.

Y'know what it is on Hulu for me? It's not even the ads, it's the repetition. Because it's the same 3-5 ads EVERY TIME.

So they're gonna try and remake a show that basically lives entirely on the performances of Idris Elba and Ruth Wilson

Love this movie. Love it. I know some people who hate it because of the ending, but I loved it anyway. I remember seeing it and thinking I'd never seen anyone show me Los Angeles that way. And yeah, Cruise and Foxx are really good in it.

Gave it a spin today, and was more than surprised and impressed. Everyone's already mentioned the choice cuts, so I'll just say I hope he can grow and improve from this.

Lupe reminds me of Ms. Banks, in that both of them can occasionally be 100% right, and be total, utter assholes the rest of the time.

For reasons I will never understand, the TV station I work for still likes to do a political call-in show for big issues and after important speeches and debates.

I came across The Clash before Rancid, and I just remember hearing this album, later on in life, and thinking to myself that some of the songs wanted to be "Death or Glory" so bad.

Yeah, that must be it. At a glance, I think it's a fair mistake to make.

"I ain't scared of you motherfuckers."

Well, not the one with Mr. Marston.

Seriously. By the time the scene with the bat happened, I was in full-on "Why is this getting shitcanned?" mode.

I played DA:O, but I am abjectly terrified of Inquisition.

Same. I tried to redeem John Marston, made FemShep a Paragon, and even though the Child of Bhaal might've occasionally been a bit of a smartass, she always tried to do what was right in Baldur's Gate I & II.

I made the connection, sure, but the distance between was so vast, I never even began to consider this article's premise.

This might become the longest comments section in AV Club history.
