Check online for Meetup/Facebook groups for board game players in your area, or head down to your local board game shop :) There are lots of groups that meet for the express purpose of gaming, it’s a great way to meet new people, too.

If you like going big, try Arkham Horror ;) Everything else I’d recommend has already been mentioned. My boyfriend and I had a FANTASTIC game of Legendary Encounters this week, too. (Side note: we’re bloodthirsty and competitive and usually play 2-player war games).
