Yes, definitely deserves an exemption, even though it ends in “Movie”. I’m a big fan, it’s a lot of fun.

2 things about this movie really annoy me, and both have to do with the narration:

It was really embarassing on White Collar, they did it at least a couple of times that I can remember for Ford, then later with BMW, IIRC.

As a kid, one of my recurring nightmares was trying to get away from some huge monster (most often the bronze giant from Jason and the Argonauts). The ferry scene in War of the Worlds makes me afraid I’m going to have a Code Brown.

I’m a big fan of this movie. My biggest problem with it has always been how easily Joe is set up by the robo-cuckholded husband (Enrico Colantoni in one tiny scene!). I’d think at this point in the future it would be pretty easy to determine that the robot didn’t do it? Or maybe the human authorities don’t give enough…

Watching stuff from this timeframe makes me shudder. Even though I lived through them, I forget how 70's the early 80's still were.
