Two incidents I witnessed in the last week.
Thanks for the input. Would she have preferred the more phonetic spelling if she could change it? Our problem is that we really like the common spelling, and can't decide which would be more tolerable.
Ugh...this is my dilemma with naming my child. The name we have picked out for a girl has a common spelling that's pronounced differently here in the States than it is in Europe. We prefer the European pronunciation, but if we go with the common spelling, it will inevitably be pronounced incorrectly. So do we go…
When I worked in a hotel, the most beloved guests were none other than the Jehovah's Witnesses. They would come twice a year for their big conferences and they never liked to spend much money on the rooms, but they would tip SO well ($20 for a couple of free drinks) and they cleaned up after themselves. In the 3…
I realize it's not always a good use of space for everyone, but we always keep the boxes for electronics. We don't move very much, but we do cycle through them quite often and when we go to sell them, you can usually get a little bit more if you have the box and all the packing materials.
My dog is friendly, and we don't put him on a leash when he's in our yard, but we've got an invisible fence (he was trained on it before we got him and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than putting up an actual fence). His line stops about 5 feet from the sidewalk in the front yard and he knows not to cross it, but this…
"I told him, 'you're going to need a bigger sac than that.'" Fixed it.
People like him are exactly the reason I refuse to let anyone call my husband Mitch. They're all batshit insane.
I didn't know about Hannah Montana, but that kid is pretty fantastic in "Kings of Summer."
This reminds me of Godfinger. Did anyone else play that?
Some coworkers and I stumbled upon the Facebook page of one of the temps hired last fall. Her page is NOT private, and she posted videos of her singing to her cats, lip-synching and air-guitaring to The Birthday Song by The Beatles (which apparently took 8 takes to nail down), and countless photos of her cats and…
Giving a man a Wüstof Classic Ikon is NOT the way to emasculate him. My husband went full-fledge primate over that thing.
I'M MARRIED TO THIS MAN!!!
Fingers crossed for you here too! I should mention that the stains on my husbands shirt had been sitting for weeks before I got around to them, and Dawn took them right out! Jolie even mentions it in her book, although she says it works better on fresher stains. Good luck!!!
Thanks!! I got your book yesterday and spent the better part of my night trying to keep the dog from eating it! Maybe he'll lose interest one of these days and I can actually read it :)
Dawn dish soap works for oil stains as well. I rubbed it into the oil stains on my husbands J Crew flannel and let it sit for half an hour before washing it. Those suckers came right out!
