E36 m3 sedan for me. Not the most beautiful, but the most correctly correct looking sedan imho.

The epiphany came before any city ordinance, and while I won’t get into details, I’ll just say that it was a deep disappointment. To recover from it, I’m focusing on fortifying my personal life and doing things that bring me genuine joy.

This is why I decided to sell some of my cars—they can get in the way of building

So, you decided to try for a gig at Business Insider after all?  Welcome back (for now).

My (mis)understanding is that the phrase has more or less reversed its meaning over the years. Originally a metaphor for asking the impossible, at some point (possibly the 1920s) it took on its present connotations of self-reliance and initiative.

If someone is a vegan crossfitter, there’s exactly zero chance you’ll need to wonder. Zero on the Kelvin scale.

I admire your commitment to reminding us about your 850, even when it has almost no relevance to the article at hand.

Article: Driving with windows down exposes you to whatever is in the outside air more than if they were closed.

I was thinking this.
I don’t see a major or even minor EU or North American city on the list. This headline could have easily been “living in an developing nation that pollutes like its 1977 LA is bad for your health.

Correct headline: idling in traffic with your windows down in developing countries with minimal pollution controls increases your exposure to pollution (which may or may not be a meaningful increase that has health outcomes because we didn’t test that).

w124 mercedes are some of the most reliable and long-lasting cars on the road.  this is like europe’s panther platform.

Sounds like something a racist would say   /s

Nonsense. My 1995 E320 has cost me less than $500 a year in repairs, in the ten years i’ve owned it.

My understanding is that Nakamichi is to cassette decks what Technics is to turntables. But, since cassette tapes have lost popularity (except for maybe a cult following that’s definitely smaller than that following records), I can see the company saying “done”, then selling their name to the highest bidder.

It’s also a little backwards to put the NP on the bottom and the CP on the top.  Too many changes at once man. I can’t handle it.

To be fair, Good Buy is ‘GB’ whereas Goodbye would just be ‘G’.  And no, that doesn’t make it any better.

I like the use of the term bargain. When you consider what this sold for new, it certainly is. The paint is nice, the interior is good, and the center stack is relatively unblemished.  The couple is desirable, not rare, but getting more rare every year.  I’d actually prefer a sedan, but this car is worth more.

However, if you use Mercedes parts to do the fixs that car’ll be good for another 25 years.

I think it was a good call to retire Crack Pipe because of the racist connotation, but GB or GB simply doesn’t work.

It looks so good, but man early 90s Mercedes is just not where I’d put any bargain money. That ‘$7k’ car will slowly but surely cost you $10k by the end of it’s first year of ownership. Bleh... I like the pillarless windows so much though... screw it. Good Buy!

This thing is just moments away from a catastrophic failure of some sort, right?
