You don’t lie, you don’t lie, you don’t lie.

The tax isn’t going to change anything, it’s clearly an easy money grab from the government. Nobody is going to change behavior because of it:
The majority of intra-EU flights are either business travels(so the flyers themselves don’t pay) or holiday travels from Germany/UK to Spain&Italy, and half a beer isn’t going

More of this please, fantastic!

It’s fun to watch Copart auctions sometimes to see who buys what. Luxury cars usually get bids from Eastern Bloc countries like Moldova, Poland, and the like. Africa & the Middle East love Toyotas. Trucks & SUVs get lots of bids from Mexico. Stuff under $1,500 is popular in Central America.

I remember reading that the major export from Miami was used cars destined to Latin America... this was in the 90s probably...

LOL - I love being up front in shorts and a t-shirt when the other 15 dudes are sales stiffs in bad suits. One of the perks of being a field engineer who travels too much.

Or maybe they simply chose a well-known and fairly widely distributed restaurant, you snob.

Lol, I enjoy how you think Ruth's Chris is fancy

A speedo is very different than this.

Do you know this? Yes.

The beautiful thing about EV drivelines is that, should you keep a light foot, the range doesn’t change nearly as much with increased torque output, compared to a conventional gas/diesel.

Yes, he was a businessman. That doesn’t mean he was evil or the like. His push back against regulations was a calculation. He calculated that accepting regulations added cost to his cars, which reduced sales.

Imagine that, an automotive CEO hired by a board of directors to make money for shareholders taking issue with onerous federal regulations that would hurt shareholder value. What a shocker.

The world needed & still needs better men. Not just Detroit.

Iacocca was a businessman, nothing more and nothing less. How folks can’t see that is astonishing.

If you're the kind of simpleton that likes honking off to military shit, sure.

In regards to item 2:
Uber provides a fare breakdown for every ride which the driver can view via the app or website.

Best case scenario for jalop is that these drivers get a "fair wage", then Uber and Lyft go out of business and we're back where we started with yellow cabs, more people driving and more traffic

It is not in Uber or Lyft’s economic interest to encourage people to find other ways to travel. Surge pricing was always billed as the carrot to get more drivers on the street to carry the waiting passengers.
