I forgot to make the comment when you posted before about Outer Wilds but I wanna say thanks for signal boosting the game. I played through it immediately after release and consider it the purest form of “video games as art.” It’s made by a genius crew of folks with some masterful craftsmanship that I cannot wait to…

I’m really looking forward to Outer Wilds. It’s my type of game and y’all are getting me excited about it!

I like a good fan project, I’ve been happy to see that Nintendo doesn’t squash them until they release. By then it’s typically too late and things are in the wild.

But Microsoft’s Windows offerings require you to use a Microsoft account. So it doesn’t matter what store you buy it from; a Microsoft game is still pulling you into Microsoft’s ecosystem.

Considering Dirk Nowitzki was broadly “a tall spot-up shooter who can’t really move” during his athletic prime, including when he was the best player on a championship squad, I’d say it’s a pretty excellent thing to be.

Wow, there’s a lot to dislike about this story. That douchey banner pic of a young man who looks like he listens to a lot of Hollywood Undead, the fact that a professional organization is called “Faze Clan,” everyone’s dumbass online monikers, the fact that a Fortnite World Cup exists, this tweeny interpersonal drama…

It would have been amusing to have him received like another Greta Van Fleet - acknowledged as good, but too mired in the past to be popular outside their niche.

I left it off mostly because I’ve already gushed about it so recently, but Outer Wilds really does deserve to be played. Heaven’s Vault is another one I’ve heard raves about that we just didn’t have anybody to stump for.

Trust me when I tell you that unlike me literally every time I fly someplace in Outer Wilds, this game sticks the landing.

I don’t typically like this style of game, but if it sticks the landing - I’m about 15 hours in - it is absolutely going to be my game of the year. It’s genuinely incredible.
