Honestly, it would not surprise me at all to learn that Steve Kerr had told them to go ahead and call a timeout if they got an offensive rebound or had a tie-up or loose ball scramble.

Yeah, cost-benefit analysis is heavily in favor of buying a stopped clock there for the price of one lousy free throw. The difference between trailing by one or trailing by two at that point is insignificant compared to the difference between stopping the clock at 0:00.9 or letting it run.
I believe the technical is assessed to the head coach in that situation, regardless of who calls the timeout.
You’re right. And as someone else pointed out in the comments, Steve Kerr and the other two players on the floor were also screaming for a timeout to get the tech, too. But it’s nice to pretend.
I'd like to believe he knew without the tech time runs out and they lose, versus only like 99.999% chance of losing. But who knows?
Come on, be fair. If he didn’t call the timeout and get the technical, he would’ve given his team even less chance of winning. The only way the Warriors could extend the game was by getting the technical.
If he tries to pass it, the clock would have expired. Stopping the clock was the only option at that point. Had the lob to Kawhi gone out of bounds with the score 112-110, the timeout would have paid off.
Not to date myself, but when I was a kid, sacrifices were always made to bring higher-powered arcade games to the NES and SNES, and I don’t recall anyone complaining in internet comment sections.
Look, I’m not one of those “IT HAS TO BE 12K/30000fps” nerds, and I certainly see the appeal of having The Witcher 3 to play whenever/wherever...but for fuck sake...this looks like hot, steamy, stomped on dog shit.
The breadth of the world, the dynamic lighting, the insane draw distance, etc., etc., are all huge parts…
That fanfare at the end of the trailer was so blatantly trying to be the MCU theme without actually being the MCU theme and I hated it.
This sounds like a much better way to do the branching story/teams than Fates did with its weird family dynamics.
I saw people taking umbrage with this, and it’s like...look, I can get that that certain marginalized communities are treated poorly. Fetishization, mockery, ostracizing, the whole nine yards.
TE Mark Murderer
Cyberpunk isn’t out for another 10 months, and most sane people don’t pre-order games that are still nearly a year away from release...so, yeah, I would hope and imagine a game you can play right now is outselling one you can’t play until April 2020.
Yeah but then why even use the commander keen ip if not to attract fans who would want a platformer? Why not just have it be called space kids or something?
Huh, you said the exact same thing at AV Club. Just wanted to let you know.
Disappointing sales, I wager. Can probably see this as a spiritual sequel to the excellent Mooncrash, though.
Prey sold extremely poorly, unfortunately.
They’re not making a sequel to Prey, despite the massive sequel hook?
he's... breathtaking!
