Sensors detect faint traces of Black Mirror mirroring…

Being an Alabamian, I'll gladly help coordinate such an airlift as long as you save me a seat.

Just saw Compulsion myself for the first time last week. It's remarkable how much this story comes alive given the full narrative cinema treatment, more so than in Rope which despite its "heart", is still really just a sitting-room drama. Dean Stockwell (age 23) is completely chilling as the tormented Steiner

He's doing both, just for safety.

Yeah they were also pretty sunny (until Spider-Man 3 anyway). Sony is clearly doubling down on the brightness here.

These blue sky posters are symbolically a direct and explicit refutation of the DCEU. What a reversal — when I was kid, it was DC and Superman who were the happy blue sky comic books, and Marvel the darker ones.

Even Stan Lee (when he revived Cap in the 60s) seemed to realize that he couldn't simply be a jingoistic brute. Ever since, writers have found ways

OMG, this guy. I've been loving his Super Powers backup series in Cave Carson especially the Wonder Twins feature which is almost porn for anyone who watched Super Friends as a kid wishing there had been more worldbuilding about the twins' home planet. Will definitely have to seek out his Transformers/GI Joe stuff

Upvoted for our shared toddler-hood of Aguirre and Enter the Dragon.

Not exactly (to all questions, especially the last). I do have a separate spreadsheet based on a semi-comprehensive list of 622 "must see" films circulated on Usenet in the '90s (of which I've still only seen 316). And my list of personal favorites does contain top-10 lists for each decade going back to the 1930s.

Whereas some of us are so nerdy, we already had most of this data compiled and stored away for our own amusement. This list is from my old spreadsheet with just a couple extra minutes of editing:
