Drug reps and the $$ they spend seducing doctors are the crux of the problem. My mother was a respiratory therapist working in a Dr. office doing pulmonary function tests before she retired. They had lunch brought in every single day by one rep or another.

I had a friends years ago who tore up a bedsheet and sewed them into pads because she was so damned broke. I remember that blowing my mind that this was what she had to do just to function.

In the District of Columbia (Washington DC for folks who don’t live around here) sanitary products are free in school and workplace vending machines. I can vouch for that being true at least in the workplaces I’ve been in.

Sotland is really showing the rest of the UK how to be a progressive, civilised nation. And in other news, a Welsh organisation is leading the way by financially supporting women workers who are fleeing abusive relationships. Let’s hope that caches on too.

I wish I’d thought of that instead of  an incredibly thick wad of folded up toilet paper held in place with a safety pin.

How does she look in the mirror and not SEE that her eyes look squinty crazy ...?

Inside joke that only lawyers and law students will get.

Fun! I’ve always wanted to try one of the 3D puzzles. Hope you’ll post pics when you’re finished with it!

Hola kitty cats! I’m digging my new life in the mountains of Panama. My decision to retire was a good one for many reasons, just one of which is that a racist, conspiracy theory spreading mask-denier in my old office/cube farm might have infected everyone in the office with Covid; he came to work defiantly maskless

Shelter Catstravaganza!

Election day was the 4-year anniversary of my father undergoing emergency brain surgery. I voted for Hillary, got in my car and drove into the heart of Trump country. Today is the anniversary of his funeral. My best friend has been completely awol during all of this, even though she's well-aware this was going to be a

Friday I dropped the tiny human off at my parents house for a sleepover. It may be her last one tho there. My dad is getting the 110+ year old farmhouse ready to sell. Which means he needs to clean out the barn. A barn stuffed with many of my mom’s things who died many years ago. When she was alive tho, she collected

How dare you be reasonable.

It’s pure luck and fortune (white male in America) I was able to land a job that allowed me to pay off my loans. It was still a huge burden with a lucrative career. I wholly support loan forgiveness. This described mindset is like people who got sick before a vaccine wanting a pound of flesh from others who get a

Every star for you. And I cringe because I too have “known” this guy.
