Ha, funny you should ask! When I first read it I was super pissed that she didn’t explain what happened. But then I started researching Picnic at Hanging Rock( another no answer mystery) and found out that the publisher had convinced that author to leave out the chapter that explained what happened to the missing

next week is Ken Follett(Kingsbridge series) and Robert Galbraith(aka JK Rowling). For obvious reasons, I’m debating the last one. I really like gritty detective fiction so in the next few months I also have a new Val Mcdermid, Tana French, and Michael Connolly. And to shake things up a bit, the next Stormlight

Two will be published on Tues. I’ll probably splurge and get both and then spend at least a day in bed reading

Not weird at all. They are classy stuff. When my Gran was in advanced dementia, she would forget who we were and talk to us like we were all young girlfriends. It was both hilarious and mortifying.

Agreed. but the books I want either aren’t going to be purchased by the library or 100+ people are ahead of me on the holds list

I’ve been doing my best to save money(no payroll taxes will eventually mean no Social Security), but now it seems that every author I like has a new book coming out in the next few months. Books...I just want all the books. A good thing happened yesterday. A friend I’ve only know from Facebook stopped by and brought

She sounds like a woman to admire! Keep telling all the wonderful stories about her, it makes the loss easier to bear. p.s. There are also nudes of my G-ma. (my grandfather was a photographer) I don’t have any of them hanging on my wall...yet.

There are loads of scenic bike rides( Iceland waterfalls was a bad idea though, lol), I do a HIIT ride if I’m short on time, while watching American Ninja Warrior ect. My favorite is still the Zombies, run! app because who doesn’t want to get chased by the undead while collecting a sports bra?

I bought an exercise bike for less than $100. I ride while listening to episodes of Zombies, run!, ($7.99 a year), or watch training videos on YouTube(Freeee!). I’m probably too short for the bike anyway.

Or, a publisher showed interest, but Jr. balked when editors wanted to take out stuff that could get them sued.

Even after 62 years of marriage, my Grandpa would still pat my Grandma’s backside or ask her for a kiss. CCB’s body belongs to her, and she is the one who gets to decide who touches it. People getting all upset about a lighthearted boob grab is just weird.

We lived in Hawai’i when I was little, and man, what a dose of nostalgia I got looking at the pics of her family eating on the beach. Her spread was much fancier than ours though. We usually just had poi and doritos.

I hadn’t even heard of the 1619 Project until Featless(a typo, and it stays) Leader started frothing at the mouth about it. So, of course I had to go and give them clicks. I’m sure this will backfire on him as much as everything else does. Take that you rancid blob of sentient spray tan!

I'm a California native and I say SoCal and Cali. It's all good.

Uh oh, I better check on family. I have friends in San Diego county and Idaho that are at risk too. Stay safe.

All the stars for you! Bwaahaaa

These things can be very tricky. I hope she sees the notification and everything goes well. A friend recently did his and found out he is a completely different racial mixture than he thought, and that he is probably adopted.

I’d offer to house swap with you, but my weather might kill you

I am indeed in Southern California. I’m starting to have some heat exhaustion, so it’s time for phase 2(cool shower and then feet in a bucket of ice water)

He said it(or something like it). Everyone knows he said it. It won’t make a bit of difference.  In other news, It’s 115 degrees here and I’m out of cold drinks.
