I ADORE this song. It is so fabulous. So heartfelt. Pays homage to greatness and is great on its own.

Oooooh I have to try this—I put liner on and literally, it disappears in less than an hour (and I haven't touched my damn eyes). :-D

YES. Worked in manufacturing for decades, and apparently NOTHING HAS CHANGED SINCE THE 70’s WTFFFFFFFFF

I got told by a tech guy at a local computer parts store that ‘No one makes anything like that’ re: a particular type of switch. I said ‘Really? because I figured I’d ask if you could order one for me (supporting local business, you know), but I guess I’ll just buy it from NewEgg instead.”

I suppose I’ve been lucky, experiencing less of that crap — I’m older and have been around for a long time, so a number of people are familiar with my thing. I will remain forever fortunate, surrounded by cool guys who didn’t/don’t react with the dick swinging bullshit.
Grrrrr. I hope you can find the same situation.

I am the only woman in the room for every single meeting, and I am the only one they interrupt, and most of their interruptions are with raised voices.

Back in the 80’s we always called it ‘The Round File’. Put it in the Round File, people!

“He doesn’t leave a note, or talk to me about them. Just drops them off like I am his fucking secretary. WE HAVE THE SAME TITLE. I just throw them away.”
I am SO GLAD you do that—because that’s what I would do, too. LOL LOL LOL

What the actual fuck? I forgot about THAT component—sound engineers/producers. I’ve definitely surprised some engineers by being able to actually play my damn instrument and nailing my parts, WHAT A CONCEPT. (rolls eyes)

The only positive trend I’ve witnessed—to a small degree—is when I go to music stores and people don’t try to show me pink guitars. I love pink, but unless it’s a rare early Strat in coral, I am not interested. :-)
So I do see a bit of a change in the music culture, and it pleases me to no end to see young women

I have been drinking whiskeys and scotch since the dawn of time (and not the dawn of the current trend). I’m a grown-ass older woman, and I still have the occasional bartender (usually a younger guy) look at me and say “Wow!” or “Well ALLRIIIIGHT!” as if I’m adorable because I’m not ordering a white wine spritzer or a

She’s adorable. And like Eileengency, I would wear this entire outfit, too—and I’m a close-to-retirement age gal. LOL
Your daughter sounds like a very cool kid. :-)

Ugh Sebring. Horrible, just horrible.

Probably nearly any city. Or town. Or hamlet.

This feature HAS TO STAY. This one in particular is killing me.
Midweek Madness—my favorite part of all the sites here. Just fabulous. It always leaves me crying with laughter, despite the fact that I have no idea who half these people are.

ARGH WHO DOES THAT TO A TT?

LOL Were we at the same company? :-)

Great advice. I worked for a company for a decade that was great for @half that time, until the worthwhile people were replaced (via retirement or death) by horrid toads. I watched the sad fall of a once fun, engaging company into the corporate abyss, and subsequently became one of its victims.
