Or no, people dislike it because it isn't a good book. It's not so much "poor writing" (which is what I get paid the big bucks to evaluate in my job) as it is emotional/psychological manipulation through cheap shots that makes it bad. Or at least, that's one of the reasons it's bad.

The end was really really lacking for me. I was so sucked into the book, I read it in two days, only for like the least satisfactory ending ever.
