I never got to hear it when Life of Pablo dropped. I just took a listen. It’s not my style but I respect the Hell out of it for sure, good looking out.

As a single, I felt it delivered. It’s a good song. I listened to it the other day in the middle of this discussion, and watched the video. I feel the video really helps the overall breadth of the material, and ‘Ye sounds a lot more like Nas in that era, generally for the better.
The Kanye/Meatloaf comparison has an odd ring to it in other ways, too.
They were never intended to do anything else. Look up “The New Pearl Harbor”, a phrase from the PNAC’s planning documents.
By the way, I was in error: Kanye had *three* mid-90's albums that were utterly classic. In fact, the one I missed, Late Registration, had “Diamonds from Sierra Leone” on there, and that may be one of the best and most conscious hip-hop tracks ever to hit the Billboard Top 100 instead of getting completely overlooked…
You are very welcome!
I think someone needs to check dude for Reptilian larvae at this point. Look all up in his ears.
Kanye did about two really classic hip-hop albums. The College Dropout and Graduation were absolutely seminal pieces of work that revitalized the field and provided a chart-topping stream of genuinely deep and listenable hits and actually good music for a few years back in the mid-2000's.
You can stop trying now. It’s bad. Play it next to something like “The Glory” off Graduation and cry.
1. He fires any employee of his who tests positive for cannabis. There’s a hypocrisy there. I think weed should be 100% legal in America and regulated like alcohol. But if it’s too dangerous for the people on his factory floors putting cars together, it’s too dangerous for the CEO making decisions about that factory…
Never fear, Disney maintains vast great hordes of auxiliary voice actors capable of doing impressions of their most famous characters.
Here’s a couple of huge hints as to why the Israeli establishment does not want an international investigation of war crimes.
I fully agree.
Or...people who realize that Serena threw a tantrum and got fined, and there’s no fucking story here?
Ain’t nobody afraid to say shit here, Piggywig. The Root is full of haters. Y’all basically the black Fox News at this point, but you won’t see it.
Truth hurts, eh?
Relevant? It’s not even *true*.
You’re kidding, right? In what way was Serena treated unfairly at this event?
Oh, please. Serena threw an unsporting tantrum in a tough match and got fined. There was no injustice here - except maybe for the U.S. Open fans who had to watch this shit, or maybe to Naomi Osaka, who played the best tennis of her life and won her first major and promptly got overshadowed by a 23-time Grand Slam…
Where is anybody “mansplaining”? Serena had a tough match, and in the middle of it the referee decided to ding her for what he perceived to be unfair and illegal coaching. Whether or not the penalty was excessive, there’s no fucking evidence at all that it was due to her race or her gender. And, rather than accept it…
