I don’t think you understand the ins and outs of YouTube. Had Playboy denied the contested claim via YouTube, the channel could receive a strike, and that could result in them not being able to monetize any videos, including 100% original talking head videos. And 3 strikes is deletion of a YouTube channel.

I do a lot of work on youtube and have content I want to protect, but the idea of letting software accidentally screw over some hard-working artist on my behalf is a terrible idea to me. When Playboy or any YouTube creator uploads a video, there is a box they can check claiming they own the audio and visual copyrights to the video. And if they check that box, YouTube will start hunting for any video facsimiles. But you don’t even have to check that box to run ads on your videos. You only check that
