I admit, that was part of the reason I didn’t pick it up. So many of the fake bands were people I wouldn’t hang out with even if you paid me. Constantly broke my suspension of disbelief.

I think overall, the controversy is legitimate and those claiming it not to be are doing nothing for the cause of helping the industry to grow.
