Without question. With the exception of the original series, the 1st season of most Trek shows are unwatchable. This was FAR better, even if you decided you did not like where the series went.

Discovery wasn’t perfect, but I will say this - it may have been the best first season in the franchise.

I think Star Trek Discovery and The Last Jedi took huge leaps forward in that they treat the characters like human beings and not archetypes.

Yeah, I can only imagine how horrible The Book of Henry must have been if Jurassic World was a much better movie. There was almost nothing about Jurassic World that didn’t suck, aside from the marketing.
