I think he did as well as anyone could given the material - which is to say, he made some parts of that show quite good. In the last season, when the show was what it should’ve been, Bakula was stellar.

That said, a class-act person and quite the actor. All these years and all we can say is “he’s a good actor.” No

Pretty much this.

“Come to this property I’m heavily involved in” is definitely emoluments clause territory.

I think the difference is that Inquisition was banking off the goodwill of previous titles. Bioware was hoping Anthem would bank off the goodwill of Andromeda —- but that game (while I enjoyed it) didn’t live up the standard of previous games and it wasn’t really well supported long after release.

How they handled

Same. I’ll go for the best deals and physical buys tend to be better on games more than a year old, outside of special sales on say, Steam or something.

Gamestop just kinda lost goodwill with me with their harsh tactics over the years. I’ll buy used from other retailers or likely, from the retro/local shops.

Note to other athletes:
Protest.

Guess this explains why Larry King has been doing those informercials that look suspiciously like his old CNN/CSPAN show, even down to the logo.

I’m gonna name my children Howitzer, Fusillade, Grapeshot, and Cluster Munition as part of this theme.

For the life of me, I always wondered why they didn’t design that assembly better. Either a single piece that’s direct to the body (or something in it) or parts that didn’t fall apart so quickly. It’s so odd.

I’ve always thought of Capitalism, or at least, an economy based on capitalism to be like a teenager:

You want it to grow and develop to something that’s long-term sustainable, stable, and prosperous. But you also wanna put enough structure around it so it doesn’t wrap itself around a tree going 90 in a 30 zone.

Depending on the tax load, I wouldn’t have a whole lot of concern if I was taxed heavily and got matching benefits. Hell, I’m basically coughing up 12% of my income now on health insurance that I know for a fact won’t cover everything. Won’t bother me to pay a bit more knowing that not only will it cover more, but

Was the era of Cadillacs where the one section of metal? rubber? between the car and bumper or car and headlight assembly would gradually erode away leaving a hideous gap?

The Sunfire and Firebird prototypes looked so cool. What we got of both wasn’t nearly as awesome, though the Firebirds got a lot closer. I still kinda want a 98 Firebird, no lie.

The H2 is the pinnacle of early 2000s America, it’s a lot of crass, gaudy bluster with no substance.

It wants you to think it’s got huge cargo space and seating space. It doesn’t.
It wants you to think it can do anything offroad. It can’t.
It wants you to think it’s got so much power. It doesn’t.
You can’t see out of it,

Okay, I hate the H2 with all of my heart, but if you bought one, you got what you deserve when it comes to gas mileage. Come on, how could you not understand that thing was gonna be awful about it?

“This guy with at least 30 years of continually bankrupting things, who is only saved by dumb luck and being loud is making really poor decisions! How could we have known?!”

I mean, if I were a sociopath, yeah why the hell not? People hide their ambitions for power and money under religion, may as well do politics, too.

Obama warned the GOP-controlled House and Senate about evidence of interference. Mitch McConnell elected to do nothing. Obama warned Trump as well. Further, numerous arms of our intelligence branches are warning the GOP about election interference from Russia, Iran and at least, China. They’ve elected to do nothing.

Fu

Back in the 80s, even 90s, if you even smelled like you might have Communist (read: Soviet) leanings, things could get nasty for your career in politics. In the 70s, it could completely ruin your life.

I guess it’s different now that all the disguises are off and everyone has said straight up, “we’re oligarchs and

Who knows?

When I was younger, during the Cold War, the Republicans screamed on a daily basis about how the Democratic party was a bunch of Communists who “love the Ruskies” while also loving minorities and the “gays” as they put it.

Now, the Republican party seems content to let Russia, China, and Iran fool around with

In Texas, we managed to get cities to ban fracking.

And then the Republicans showed up with this shit pre-emptive ban on fracking bans shit. If they’re gonna shout about small government and local control, they can at least be consistent.
