I guess its my turn to be a contradictory ass. I didn't really care for Hard boiled wonderland. It was a concise short story, but the meandering-ness of it was a little bit more visible and grating than the meandering-ness of Wind Up Bird, which is one of my favorites. I also have to recommend Kafka on the Shore too.
