Unions are great, but your country should change employment laws, so you don’t have to fight the same stupid fights over and over again for every industry.

Just a thought: CC abandoning live-action could be a good opportunity for FXX to pick up some slack and do something... anything... with that channel. FX/FXX is basically a content-farm for Hulu now anyway, why not use the spin-off channel to pick up some weird cult comedies like Man Seeking Woman and actually utilize…
100%. Tosh and Drunk History were cancelled after already being renewed. The only upcoming shows are the Ren & Stimpy/Bevis & Butthead reboots and the Daria spinoff. Wouldn’t be surprised if they stop making live-action shows altogether except The Daily Show.
I don’t really care for Tosh, but I think I’d rather take this show over Ridiculousness, which I always found to be just “assholes watching YouTube.”
Have to laugh a bit at the thought that HR can magically quell this sort of thing. Might just be my experience, but I think The Office’s jokes about Toby nailed the reality of most experiences with HR. It’s highly unlikely you’re going to get an outcome you were hoping for if you go to them.
I don’t remember that one, but somebody else posted about the interview he did with a girl who had lost her arms, and how it was actually very sweet. I 100% expected (and understand) the distaste people have for him, because I shared it until I started to notice things like that, and realized there was at least a bit…
The silly thing about all of this Ellen hoopla is that it’s focused on Ellen. I have no affinity for Ellen, I have never watched her show (shows?), but I have worked below the line on plenty of bullshit and I got to say they treat you like shit in Hollywood, because they can. You know what working for Ellen is…
Right; the point being that not everyone who does something stupid deserves redemption. I always loved the rebuttal to the guy throwing cash all over. It was like a financial literacy lesson.
My understanding has been that his Web Redemptions are something he really cares about, meaning the person as well. The segment itself is a twist on the rest of the show that’s notable in and of itself. Of course, the rest of the show is essentially the opposite of that.
I remember watching an episode where he interviewed a girl with no arms. It was very sweet without being pandering.
I mean, G/O Media has a union and look around.
The bits I’ve seen of the show all seemed very mean-spirited to me, but I know somebody who’s appeared on the show to talk about living with a serious medical condition that is also ... easy to imagine being made fun of? ... and apparently they had a great time and felt really supported. <shrug>
imagine getting hired to work on the biggest network talkshow going and not getting as much vacation as a dude stocking shelves at the grocery store
WHAT
Companies not getting paid time off for doctor appointments is extremely normal. The actual egregious part here is that they only give five days of PTO, but most companies will give you general PTO days that you then have to take for doctor appointments, or just tell you to go and not put it in.
In other words its like 8O% of all jobs in the US.
As a football fan I absolutely loved his Nick Saban and Lane Kiffin sketches.
Wait she had an awakening? When how what?
I guess I’m in the minority because I really liked his show. It didn’t try to be anything more than what it was. I think we can all learn a lesson from that.
Bat Keaton vs Bat Fleck pls
