Exactly this. They had to potentially write him out of the series, but leave a backdoor.

It was more about covering their options in case David Harbour didn’t come back after Hellboy. Hellboy flopped, so he’s back - but if it had been a success, he probably wouldn’t be in the coming season or show going forward except as a cameo.
And then they did that whole annoying thing of “Maybe he’s alive, maybe he isn’t, there’s no way anyone could possibly know,” even dragging David Harbour into it.
I’m still very amused at how they clearly thought no one could possibly make the connection between Hopper and “the American,” and then had to give up and just make the first Season 4 teaser “Yeah, you got us, he’s alive, happy now?”
No, we’re not sharing food. There’s a pandemic.
I’d say you’re correct. I think the best theaters can hope for is eventually coexisting with streaming platforms. Day and Date releases will become common.
The point you’re missing is that all is takes is just one to ten people of that 65% to be stupid and careless enough to spread it to the remainder of that 64%, especially if they’re super spreaders. A large, sprawled museum and art gallery is not the same as a small windowless box of a theatre with no natural…
The problem you’re not seeing is that given how stupid and careless people have been about not wearing masks and social distancing, there will be a high risk of exposure. Is it really worth your health and life to watch a movie in a infected building over the safety of your own home? For most of us, its a no. You can…
Look, MacFarlane is a very smart guy. He did what he did to become really freaking rich and give him the power to do pretty much whatever he wants. It’s not like there was a huge demand for Cosmos but he worked to bring it back. He can do quality.
McFarlane did a fantastic job with the new Cosmos. He clearly pursues things he’s passionate about, comedy or not. So hopefully his contribution to this is equally on the mark.
“That brings us to Seth MacFarlane, whose involvement seems… surprising? It’s not that he can’t produce something like this, certainly, it’s just unexpected given pretty much every other thing he’s ever done. This isn’t a wacky sitcom satire, it doesn’t involve singing jazzy standards, and he (hopefully) won’t get to…

Seems like an unnecessary shot at the Ford Focus haha
I’m just happy I’m not dead yet.
Might I interest you in my alternate history sci fi thriller in which the West Memphis Three and the Central Park Five team up to go back in time to save the Little Rock Nine from the 211s?
I get that, if I were single it would hurt to spend that. But I have a family of four so $30 is less then it costs to take them to the movies. Which is what I suspect the pricing model is more based on
I’ve managed to keep the candle burning for Bill & Ted 3, but that will be 100% fine from my living room.
As much as I want to see it in the theater, I can get a close enough approximation at home by turning off all the lights, turning up the volume, and mandating that there will be no pausing of the movie and no talking during the movie among my family, under penalty of me tripling the number of dad jokes I emit per unit…
Would make sense if they just release it in summer 2021.
would be interesting if bringing keanu and moss back is a misdirect and they both die, or become villains, or some other third thing.
